Bella Lopez, a talented athlete from Legacy High School, has officially committed to play college soccer at Murray State College in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.
“I chose Murray State because I loved the campus, the coaches, and the people,”

Lopez said. “I also love how close it is to home.”
Lopez feels her commitment to Murray State represents a promising future for both herself, and for the program. As she looks ahead to her college career, she remains focused on pushing herself to new heights, driven by the same determination and work ethic that earned her accolades throughout her high school years.
“They did really well in conference last year,” Lopez said. “I hope to come in and help contribute to going even further this upcoming year, as well as form close relationships with my teammates and classmates.”
As Lopez prepares to make the transition to college soccer, the community of Tishomingo, as well as her former teammates and coaches, are excited to watch her continue to shine on the field.

“I am incredibly excited to leave and experience doing things on my own, but at the same time I am very nervous,” Lopez said. “I am a twin, so I’ve never really had to be on my own for anything, so this will definitely be a change.”
Soccer Coach Lexi Jackson, who introduced Bella Lopez at her signing, was thoroughly impressed with Lopez’s performance even after only being with her for a year.
“Lopez claimed varsity roles at both Rider and Legacy High School,” Jackson said. “In her year at Legacy she was voted onto the First Team All District, an award that is fitting for a player who truly shine in her performance this past season. Lopez played a large role in the Lady Leopards inaugural season, and her work in the midfield helped lead the team to having such a successful first season. She was a ferocious midfielder who held a threat defensively and offensively, and now gets to take her talents into college and help her next team succeed as well.”
