The Legacy Royals held their showcase on April 11 and 12 of 2025. They showcased their award winning competition dances and several new dances to showcase their talent and learning abilities. Most dances throughout the year were taught by coach Brinlee Yates and some by outside choreographers, but this showcase was different.
“In our spring show you actually get to see choreography done by our officers this year, so it’s super exciting and they look really good.” Yates said.
Senior and co-captain Riley Harvey said that preparing for the spring showcase was “a lot of work.” Starting in March, they had practices for 2 hours after school everyday, but ultimately she felt it was worth it.
“Dance wise this school year has been great,” Harvey said. “I have loved working with this team and I have pushed them really hard but for as hard as we work we also get to have a lot of fun together.
They also held a Junior Royals clinic for students pre-k through 8th grade earlier in the month that were able to perform with the Royals during the showcase. Senior and co-captain Maegan Roberson thought it went really well.
“It was awesome to see how all the girls were really enthusiastic to get to Legacy some day,” Roberson said. “They were wearing like Legacy t-shirts and bows and everything.”
